Helping Him Recover

Kristen's thoughts: Nathan and I have spent every waking minute together. It feels just like the old days, before this crazy forced marriage nightmare happened. God, how I have missed him. How I've needed him. He makes me laugh, and he's so patient with me. I've been helping him recover from Selene's dealings... And, get through a drug rehab. He's made incredible progress, and he's completely sober. Completely clean. I think he's still walking on eggshells around me, since I admitted my love for Joshua. But, he's willing to work on everything together. Be stronger, together. Make up for all the lost time, together. I can't thank him enough. But, damn, not being romantic and intimate has been a struggle to say the least!

New Beginnings, Big Plans

Nathan's thoughts: I feel like these months have gone by in slow motion. Just waiting for the green light. I feel like I'm constantly ready to spring into action for when she gives me the word that the divorce has been finalized. I'm done messing around. I have plans. Big plans. I want them set in place, permanently, before anything else happens. I'm not risking losing her again. My nightmares are back. They come and go. I've been hiding them from her. I just... don't want her to worry anymore. Plus, she's been so happy seeing me recover. She deserves happy. I can't ruin that. Thankfully though, she's finally agreed for me to move-in with her again. I know she wants to do this divorce right... morally and everything... But, my patience is wearing thin. I feel like a child before Christmas. When can I finally have the greatest gift, be mine?

Kristen's thoughts: My favorite time of the year was here yet again. The chilly air filled the city streets, the trees shifting into different vibrant reds and oranges to match the earlier sunsets. Things got quieter and cozy. We'd light the fireplace almost every night, enjoying the warm and shadows that danced in the penthouse. As well, as enjoying each other's warmth. We were glued together, every moment I felt Nathan on my skin, giving me goosebumps, no matter what weather. We are in love, and appreciating every second like our last. Even though I doubt a last will ever come. Nathan has been working hard on his music. Sometimes, I just drift asleep to his guitar melodies. He's so talented. How can his dreams not become reality? As for me, I've been working more from home now. I have a few personal works of my own as well. They're not even close to done, but Nathan says they're tales that stick. He always knows what to say.

The Weekend Sleepover

Kristen's thoughts: I needed to see my girls, and have some time with them. I'd missed them so much. So, when Stacy called me for a sleepover I knew I had to go, especially before my trip with Nathan. We got our usual delivered pizza, a bottle of wine, and watched reality dating TV all night. Making sure to judge every person for their weird habits, haha, being together felt like our college days all over again. Then, we got on the topic of life... so I updated them...
